Ike: Be aware

Be aware - of your thoughts, words, attitudes and actions.  Each of us is responsible for our own destiny so, it is necessary to maintain a positive outlook by avoiding negativity as much as possible. What you express in your mind or speech manifests as reality. On a planetary scale, work towards global collaboration by expecting and wishing for peace, harmony and a better world. Create tolerance, peace and harmony.

Kala: Be free

Be free - in the most creative and innovative ways. Avoid limitation of others and self by negativity or reluctance to think, do or experience something new.  There are many ways to a destination - if one isn't successful, try another with a sense of expectancy, adventure and fun. Allow for mistakes and laugh at them - then move on. Celebrate your individuality, exploit your creativity and allow others the same freedom.

Makia: Be focused

Energy flows where attention goes! If you focus on what you dislike you will magnify it! Focus on what you would ideally like - visualise it into reality.  Nourish these creations with excitement, hope and faith and throw self-pity.  Caution yourself and others against doubt to avoid erosion of your vision.  And never give up or get off your path!

Manawa: Be here

Now is the moment of power - be here. Relax the "if only" or "what if'" attitude.  If you are frequently repeating old thought patterns or behavioural patterns, consciously intervene. Do, say or think in a different way to create change. Trying new food, a new activity, visiting a new place, or even wearing a new colour can trigger a change in an old routine. New possibilities are opened up with any positive changes to thoughts, words or actions. Fun and laughter help make each day memorable.

Aloha: Be happy

To love is to be happy with - self-image, relationships, work or finances - all areas of your life. Accept and be happy with yourself and your situation and trust in the universe to provide for your every desire. Having a live and let live attitude, promotes tolerance, acceptance, satisfaction, love and happiness. Optimism and enthusiasm are contagious.

Mana: Be confident

All power comes from within, we are all children of the universe. Only you can dismiss self-doubt and the criticism of others by maintaining your integrity and truly embracing your goals. Be committed to your dreams and believe in yourself, and those around you. If you are convinced of your success it is easier to realise the ideal. See yourself achieving the impossible -- and you will!

Pono: Be positive

Effectiveness is the measure of truth. If a strategy you are using is achieving results, its effective! Run with it! If it's not as effective as you would like, change it, or view the situation from as many different perspectives as you can to open up and see all possibilities. Affirmations, meditation, visualisation or cutting cords are all successful tools; use them or even a combination of them. Remember to expect the best and you will get it!
